Nintendo has unveiled a pair of redesigned 2DS consoles for the European market.

The new Nintendo 2DS consoled will be available in the UK from November 7, and will be called Transparent Red and Transparent Blue.

Nintendo says that aside from the side paneling, both offerings are transparent in design, revealing the skeleton of the system underneath both the front and back of the system casing.

The colouring is linked to the upcoming Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire remakes for 3DS, which will be launched on November 28.

Bundles featuring each game with the respective 2DS design will also be available from that date, each including a digital copy of the game pre-installed on a 4GB memory card.

Nintendo has also revealed the release date for the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire demo, which will include special content that will be transferable to the full game when that goes on sale.

The demo will be available in the UK from Game, Amazon, Smyth Toys Superstores, ShopTo and the official Nintendo UK store from October 15 until launch.

The demo codes will then also be made available through a number of other partners until mid-November.

The demo will include its own special campaign, and Pokemon acquired in the demo version can be transferred over to the main game, along with reward items earned throughout the campaign.
