Apple releases tool to remove free U2 album from iTunes accounts

One of the major announcements at Apple’s iPhone 6 launch last week was the band U2 giving iTunes users around the world a free copy of their new album, Songs of Innocence.

In response to all the hatred, Apple has launched a removal tool, meaning users can permanently delete the album if they do not want it on their account.

The company has set up a support website to guide people through the process of getting the album off their device.

The album is the band’s first since 2009’s No Line on the Horizon, and features 11 new tracks.
