Microsoft has confirmed that the Surface Pro 3, its new flagship tablet, will be available in the UK from the 28th August – that’s just three weeks from today.
The tablet is Microsoft’s attempt at a fightback – the first two tablets having not performed very well, despite the huge marketing campaign. As we learned when Microsoft announced the device, it is being positioned not just as a tablet, but as a laptop replacement too. The company has previously even offered to trade-in people’s Macbook Air’s in exchange for a discount on a Surface Pro 3.
Price-wise things are pretty much in line with what we were expecting. According to KnowYourMobile, the various configurations and prices will be:
- 64GB/Intel i3/4GB RAM – £639
- 128GB/Intel i5/4GB RAM – £849
- 256GB/Intel i5/8GB RAM – £1,109
- 256GB/Intel i7/8GB RAM – £1,339
- 512GB/Intel i7/8GB RAM – £1,649
Will you be picking one up? Let us know in the comments.
