Google release “Photo Sphere” app for iPhone

Google has released a clever little app for iPhone that lets you take 360-degree panoramic photos.

360

The app, which has been available for some time on Android, appears pretty simply – and rather similar to other 360-degree photo apps: Simply use the rear camera and as you move it around, the app will stitch photos together, eventually completing the view.

When the photo has been been taken, you’re then given a number of options such as sharing to Facebook, Twitter, email, or Google+ (perfect for photos of tumbleweeds). You can even upload your 360 for use on Google Maps if you like.

The app is available for free, right now on the App Store.
