After months of speculation we finally know a little bit more about the forthcoming Assassin’s Creed gamer for Xbox 360 and PS3: What we now know will be called Assassin’s Creed: Rogue.
Here’s Microsoft’s description of what the game will entail:
“Become the ultimate Assassin Hunter in Assassin’s Creed Rogue. As Shay you’ll hunt those you previously called brothers from the streets of New York City to the frozen and fractured glacial landscapes of the Arctic Circle. Is Shay a traitor, rebel, renegade or something else entirely? Only one thing is certain, he follows his own creed.”
Apparently the game will tie together Assassin’s Creed 3/4 and the forthcoming Assassin’s Creed: Unity, which is being made exclusively for the new consoles. It is apparently set to take place during the Seven Years War – which some historians claim is the real first world war, as it drew in such a wide range of world powers. Given the transatlantic nature of the war, could that be a further indication this is the pirate game there has been much speculation about?
Here’s the teaser trailer:
The game is due to hit on November 11th on Xbox 360 and PS3. Or of course you can wait a year for the inevitable PS4/Xbox One “Remastered” edition.
