Sony unveils ultra-slim Xperia T3 smartphone

Sony has today announced the new Xperia T3 – a slim, light 5.3-inch smartphone.

The T3, which Sony says will go on sale in July, weighs in at just 148g and measures 150.7mm x 77mm x 7mm.

The smartphone features a 5.3-inch HD display, a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, runs Android 4.4 Kitkat and has a 2500 mAh battery which Sony says has a standby time of up to 688 hours and a talk time of just over 12 hours.

The Xperia T3 features 4G support and also has an 8MP rear camera, a 1.1MP front camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.

“Xperia T3 has been crafted with attention to detail for those who know how to appreciate distinctive design in their everyday life,” said Calum MacDougall, director of Xperia Marketing at Sony Mobile Communications.

“The T3 is packed with the latest beautiful technology from Sony – including leading digital imaging expertise and a vivid HD display – all within a stylish, stainless steel frame. The combination of this beautiful technology and the premium design ensures the T3 immediately stands apart from the competition.”

Sony is yet to announce pricing for the Xperia T3.
