“Finish him!” Yes, the classic bloody fighting game Mortal Kombat is heading back to PCs and consoles, with a new version due out in 2015.
NetherRealm Studios is developing Mortal Kombat X for release on PS4, PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PS3.
Publisher Warner Bros said that the new game would “offer a new fully-connected experience that launches players into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy”.
We assume that means their will be an online multiplayer element.
WB also said that Mortal Kombat X would give players the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character, impacting on both strategy and fighting style.
More details on Mortal Kombat X will be released at the E3 games show in LA next week.
