nokia-lumia-1020-official.jpgHoping to become a PureView paparazzi with the new Nokia Lumia 1020? Then you won’t have long to wait; Nokia’s official UK Twitter account has just confirmed that the handset will be going on sale this Thursday, September 12.

“#Lumia1020 + UK = this Thursday” is the simple message given by the tweet, though there was still no sign of an off-contract price for those looking to go SIM free.

The Lumia 1020 makes use of a whopping 41MP camera sensor, using the company’s incredible PureView tech, and capable of some very tasty shots according to those forwarded onto us by Nokia themselves.

It’s looking equally impressive under the hood too, with a Qualcomm S4 processor sitting underneath its 1280 x 768 4.5-inch AMOLED HD+ display. But with the 6-inch Nokia Lumia 1520 looming over the horizon, those looking for a Windows Phone phablet may want to hold out just a little longer before committing the cash.
