Then check out the freshly leaked One Touch Scribe Pro from Alcatel, which looks set to be an affordable alternative.

A snap of what appears to be retail promotional materials leaking through tech spy Eldar Murtazin, the One Touch Scribe Pro looks set to launch as a 6-inch, 1.5GHz quad-core packing rival to Samsung’s line.

Including stylus input and a sizeable 6,400mAh battery, as well as offering a 13.1MP camera, it also looks set to launch alongside an interesting flip case cover with embedded LEDs that appear to tell the time.

Murtazin also suggests the handset could launch for as little as $300, roughly £190 if directly converted. Should Alcatel be able to push out a Note 3 rival for under £200, it’ll be a very intriguing handset indeed.

We’ll keep an eye out for both the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Alcatel mobile when we touch down at the IFA 2013 conference next month, and be sure to pass on all the details to you.
