nokia-lumia-1020-full-leak-top.jpgThe Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone has had its full spec sheet leaked online to UnleashThePhones, just hours before it is expected to be officially launched by the Finnish company, confirming the rumours of its 41-MP super camera sensor.

Featuring a 4.5-inch AMOLED HD+ screen, the handset will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor (though the manufacturer of the chip remains unknown). The screen itself will be made of super-tough Gorilla Glass 3, running at a reasonably high 1280 x 768 resolution.

The headlining feature of course however of the Windows Phone 8 device will be its 41MP rear camera sensor, complete with Xenon flash and full 1080p video recording chops. Further pushing its camera phone skills, an optional camera grip case will be available for the handset, offering an extra 1020mAh battery and packing in a dedicated shutter button. The case also has a screw mount, letting the handset be hooked up to a tripod mount for steady shooting.

Elsewhere under the hood, the Lumia 1020 will feature 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and 7GB of Microsoft’s cloud-based SkyDrive storage.

LTE and HSPA+ connectivity is onboard alongside the usual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options, while NFC for wireless tap-sharing, payments and charging also features. Nokia Here maps and Here Drive navigation applications will come pre-installed, easing the pain of Windows Phone 8’s lack of a dedicated Google Maps app.

It seems as though the Pureview 808’s tech is finally in a half-decent smartphone then! With Nokia’s full reveal expected today at 4pm GMT, we’ll update with any further significant details as they come in.
