LG Optimus G2 detailed in video leak

LG’s Optimus G2 has been given a once over in a detailed YouTube reveal video, leaked ahead of the handset’s official launch by 4Leaks.

Being compared to LG’s critically-acclaimed Nexus 4, the video describes the handset as being “very comfortable in the hand, reminiscent of the Nexus 4 dims, except even thinner.”

The video also gives a good look at the handsets chassis, as well as the devices camera interface and lockscreen during the short minute-long clip.

The handset is expected to be officially unveiled by LG on August 7, meaning the leakers have got their hands on the phone a full month ahead of its proper release (if, of course LG do indeed unveil the device at their launch event, and 4Leaks have indeed managed to acquire the real deal here).

4Leakz clip certainly backs up earlier rumours we have heard about the phone. The Optimus G2 is thought to be packing a Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz backed by 2GB of RAM, with a 16MP snapper on the rear.

A 5.2 inch full HD display is also said to feature, with Android 4.2.2 the OS of choice. There’s also the interestingly placed volume rocker, sitting on the handset’s rear rather than edge.

We’ll have a full report from LG’s August launch event, so keep checking back for official details as and when they come in.
