Synth-pop wizard Vincent “Kavinsky” Belorgey is to get his own smartphone app game.

Available to download on “all portable platforms and devices” from July 8th, the Outrun album star (who shot to mainstream popularity after his music featured heavily in Ryan Gosling gangster flick ‘Drive‘) features in a game that includes Streets Of Rage style brawling, driving sequences and boss fights.

Featuring a slick neon look and optional 16-bit graphics remixing, the iPhone version of the game will also feature an augmented reality mode that lets you use your camera to turn your real-world surroundings into levels for the game.

In other Kavinsky/gaming related news, the musician will also be hosting the Nightride FM station in the eagerly awaited Grand Theft Auto V.
