sony-4k-x9-top.jpgSony’s new flagship TV line, the Sony Bravia X9 4K TV, is now up for pre-order.

Available in-store from the middle of June, the 55-inch model will set you back £4,000 while the 65-inch set costs £6,000.

Running at an eye-watering 3840 x 2160, the 4K LED sets pack in all of Sony’s top image processing trickery, including 4K X-Reality PRO edge enhancement and a Triluminos display which should give colours a bit more punch.

The sets are also compatible with a range of Sony iOs and Android apps, with NFC connectivity letting you pair a smartphone to the screen, letting you browse TV content or mirror your handset’s display on the big screen.

And though there’s a lack of native 4K content available at the moment, Sony are set to release a range of 4K-optimised Blu-ray discs later this year, with titles including Total Recall, Ghostbusters, Karate Kid, Taxi Driver, and The Other Guys.

If you’re flushed with cash at the moment, you can head over to www.sony.co.uk to place an order.
