New Star Soccer
When God created smack, it was just a first attempt at making something as addictive as New Star Soccer. It’s taken over pretty much every spare moment of my life - I play it on the tube, I play it on the toilet, I can’t get to sleep unless I’ve had at least a few minutes with it. So much more than just a football game, New Star Soccer tasks you with taking a teenage footballer up to the international big time, winning over sponsors and girlfriends along the way, keeping bosses and team mates happy while buying new boots to boost your stats and earning goal bonuses to fund your ever-more extravagant lifestyle. It’s insane - it looks like a Commodore 64 game, but I reckon I’ve played it more than recent big name titles like Far Cry 3. Just writing this is making me itch for another match.
