stuffster.pngWe don’t normally write about website launches on Tech Digest, but the launch of Stuffster.com could be exactly what gadget fans have been looking for in these penny-pinching times.

A wishlist website, Stuffter’s big draw is that it keeps a track of the prices of items in your wishlist, and informs you when sales, price cuts or promotions see your most-wanted items hit a price you’re willing to pay for them. You set the prices, and Stuffster sends you a notification as soon as they drop to a price fitting for your budget. It’s particularly useful for short-term sales, meaning you never have to miss when a gadget hits a rock-bottom low.

Prices are tracked across loads of websites too, including big names like Amazon, PC World, John Lewis and Currys, meaning you can always trust the sources of the low priced items.

“There are big savings to be had online for the savvy shopper,” said Keir McConomy, CEO for Stuffster.com.

“With tech giants launching new products every other week, retailers often slash their prices on old stock, but we even see prices fluctuate by as much as 10-30% in the same day due to flash sales and changes in the market, so it can be easy to miss out on these great deals.”

It’s not just tech, with designer clothing and shoes also tracked through the site, among other categories. But tech does seems to benefit from the biggest price drops; for instance, Stuffster say the 7-inch, 16GB HTC Flyer tablet drop from £449 to just £99 on the Tesco website – a saving of £350/77.95%

It’s a free service to use too, so why not give it a try? Click here to visit Stuffster.com.
