After a wait as long as a Tolkien dragon's slumber, PlayStation 3 owners can today sink their teeth into the first DLC pack for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to be made available to their console.
And, in a consolatory coup for PS3 owners, they get Dragonborn, the newest and best Skyrim expansion, first. And, to soothe the wounds of PS3 owners who've had a rough ride with the PS3 version of the game already, it'll be half price during this introductory week at £6.49.
It'll be followed up by the Heathfire and Dawnguard DLC packs soon afterwards, landing on February 20th and 27th respectively.
It's been a rocky road for Skyrim on the PS3. While Xbox 360 and PC owners were enjoying one of the best RPG experiences money can buy, PlayStation 3 gamers had to put up with incessant bugs that at times made the game unplayable, as well as the aforementioned lack of DLC. It now seems that all of those problems, more than a year after the games much-lauded launch, have been fixed.
We recently played through the PC version of the Dragonborn DLC, so if you're looking for an idea of what to expect with the PS3 version (which we expect to be very close indeed) click here to check out our review.
