samsung-Galaxy-S4-Leak-02-thumb.jpgIt’s definitely coming, but until now we weren’t quite sure when. Sources are now claiming however that Samsung’s eagerly anticipated Galaxy S4 handset will launch on 14 March, allegedly tied to a big launch event in New York City.

Regular, trusted phone launch leaker Eldar Murtazin of mobile-review took to Twitter to announce the news, saying:

“Save the date for a big announcement – March 14 🙂 And keep silence 😉 HTC will miss HTC One sales again 🙁 Like it was in 2012.”

The news was then corroborated by SamMobile, another trusted source when it comes to Samsung rumours and information, while The Verge’s Samsung sources say that March 14th is “definitely” the day marked in company diaries for the launch of the handset. However, it is unclear if carrier availability will also be revealed at the event.

As Murtazin suggested, it’s frustrating news for HTC. The flailing smartphone company are expected to reveal their HTC One handset today, otherwise known as the HTC M7. The timing of Samsung’s proposed Galaxy S4 reveal, should it be followed up with timely availability of the handset to consumers, could significantly affect slaes of the new HTC flagship.

We’ve been tracking the Galaxy S4 and rumours surrounding the new Android big hitter for a few months now. Check all the info we’ve gathered on the handset by clicking here.
