XperiaZ-PressLeak-01.jpgSony’s Xperia Z handset, set to be their flagship device entering 2013, looks a dead-cert for a CES 2013 reveal next week. But following a series of leaks that now include pricing and release date information, the Japanese tech company may not have very much to reveal once the exhibition’s doors open.

According to Taiwanese site SonyXP, the Xperia Z will cost 19,990 Thai Baht (around $655/£400), a generous price given the handset’s rumoured 1080p 5-inch display, quad-core processor, 13MP camera and Android Jelly Bean OS. If the pricing leak is accurate, we may be witnessing the first knock-on effects of the Google Nexus 4’s incredibly competitive low price.

As well as the pricing information, the site also suggests that the handset will touch down in select regions in early March, though SonyXP do not state any specific territories.

A nifty press shot (pictured above) accompanies the leak, adding a little weight to the rumours. But with Sony yet to officially announce any planned CES unveilings (barring yesterday’s inadvertent leak of Xperia Z and Xperia ZL press shots), we wouldn’t hold our breath on the handset landing as cheaply as £400 until we’ve heard it from the Sony-horse’s mouth.
