iPhone-5-official-thumb-4.pngApple will launch an iPhone 5S model in June 2013 , according to Jefferies analyst Peter Misek.

Reverting back to the summer release cycle of the iPhone 3GS/iPhone 4 era in order to spread major Apple releases more evenly across the year rather than heavily weighing down the second half of the year, Misek also made some predictions concerning the smartphone’s specs.

Misek’s crystal ball revealed an iPhone 5S with “super HD camera/screen, a better battery, and NFC,” and “possible updates include an IGZO screen for Retina+, 128GB storage.”

Misek also suggested that the iPhone 5S could land in a wider range of colours than the usual black and white standards, bringing it closer to the range offered by the iPod Touch line.

Misek’s track record when it comes to Apple predictions is a bit hit-or-miss however. He’s regularly made Apple iTV predictions that have been wide of the mark, but his iPhone predictions, particularly his shout claiming an iPhone 4S would land before an iPhone 5, have been spot on. Has he nailed the “S” grade iPhone prediction again?
