htc-one-x-5-dlx.jpgWe’re yet to get the HTC Deluxe (of HTC DLX if you like vowel-free acronyms) here in the UK, but HTC seem set to move onto bigger and better things soon enough regardless. The Taiwanese mobile manufacturers are reportedly lining up the HTC M7 as their flagship device for the MWC 2013 mobile trade show.

Multiple Taiwanese sources are claiming that HTC are working on a five inch Android device going by that name, looking set to take on Samsung’s Galaxy Note range. Casing and semiconductor suppliers have been asked for enough materials to manufacture four or five million handsets ready for a Q1 launch, putting it in line for an unveiling during the 25 – 28 February Barcelona phone show.

As well as its 5-inch frame, the HTC M7 is rumoured to feature a full HD display, an aluminium unibody casing, a 13MP camera and Qualcomm’s APQ8064 quad-core processor otherwise known as the Snapdragon S4 Pro.

If HTC do indeed launch their flagship device in February, it’ll give them a headstart against Samsung, who’ve now moved to a May launch window for their big smartphone releases, with the Samsung Galaxy SIV likely to be revealed then.
