odin-top-hopkins.jpgLooking for a new smartphone of god-like proportions? Well that’s exactly what the next Norse-themed blower from Sony is reported to be. The Sony Xperia Odin is the phone in question, and it’s had its meaty spec sheet leaked online for all to see.

Set for an early 2013 release, the Xperia Odin comes with a full 1080p 5-inch HD screen, and is powered by a quad-core S4 processor from Qualcomm, backed by 2GB of RAM. Expect that screen to also feature Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine for image processing.

As far as leaks go, that’s in line with Sony’s statement saying that the company wouldn’t put out quad-core phones until “performance matches the battery efficiency”, which they suggested would be 2013.

There’s also talk of 4G connectivity onboard, as well as rumour of a 6-inch device that’d make the Galaxy Note 2 look like a right little Loki. With an early 2013 launch date hinted at, you’re likely looking at seeing these first break cover at CES 2013.

More details as we get them
