imac-2011.jpgAre you prepared for a bumper harvest of Apple gear this Autumn? Well it looks like you should be, as the rumours continue to roll in. As well as the long-rumoured iPad Mini, 13-inch Retina MacBook and Mac Mini, it’s now being suggested that we could also see new iMac models all land on the exact same day.

And the new iMacs will be thinner, too.

Chinese site WeiPhone.com have got their hands on a picture of what they’re claiming is the new logic board for the 2012 iMac. Indeed, the components on show fit the iMac bill nicely, but there’s little to go on to suggest a drastic overhaul of the standard, still-beautiful iMac design.

But that’s what the site is claiming; they’re describing an iMac “like a water droplet”, slimmed down and featuring a curved shell. There’s no mention of a Retina Display being onboard, but they do describe the manufacturing process as seeing the screen glued on to the front glass panel in order to make the display as pretty as possible.

According to the rumours, the 21.5 inch iMac model would land first, followed a few weeks later by the 27-inch version.

Plenty to look forward to then, come 23 October. I’m predicting a long night of work ahead of the Tech Digest team…
