Expected since the reveal of the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display, it’s 20% thinner than the regular 13-inch MacBook Pro, and is the lightest MacBook Pro of all time at 3.75 pounds.

8GB of RAM comes as standard, with i5 or i7 Ivy Bridge processors and Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics. All storage space is flash, going from 128GB to 768GB.

Connections include two Thunderbolt ports, two USB 3.0 ports, an SD card reader and HDMI output, and again drops the optical disk tray in order to keep the machine as thin as possible

With a resolution of 2560×1600, that’s 4x the number of pixels as in the previous generation, as well as offering a 75% reduction in glare.

A 720p HD Facetime camera sits just above the screen, with the usual excellent glass trackpad and backlit keyboard.

Battery life stretches to 7 hours per charge.

Prices start at $1699.
