iPhone 5 UK release date set for 21st September?

iPhone-4s-thumb-3.jpgCan’t get your hands on the iPhone 5 soon enough? Not to worry! The latest rumours pen in the release of the new Apple smartphone as soon as the 21st September in the UK, less than a fortnight after what’s expected to be the phone’s grand unveiling this Wednesday.

A source “close to a major UK mobile carrier” told Geeky Gadgets of the swift instore turn-around for the handset, which makes a welcome change from some previous Apple launches that saw UK iFanboys waiting weeks longer than other international territories.

If you’re desperate be among the first to get hold of the iPhone 5, you’ll do well to get in quickly on pre-order offers. Pre-orders are expected to open this coming Friday, so if you’re looking to secure a handset come launch day, and can’t be bothered queuing up with the masses outside an Apple Store come the 21st, make sure you place your orders early.
