Nikon’s Coolpix range gets a new addition today in the shape of the L610, a beginners’ camera with enough top-level features to get even the pros interested.
Featuring a 16MP backlit CMOS sensor, the camera also houses Lens-Shift Vibration Reduction technology to make sure your photos stay focussed. There’s also a 14x optical zoom, with 19 different scene selection modes.
Panorama modes allow for 180-degree and 360-degree shots to be made, while an Easy Auto Mode will help beginners take the optimal snaps based on their surroundings without too much hassle. An Onscreen Quick Retouch Menu lets you touch-up and any dodgy corners or colour distortions before exporting your snaps.
Full HD 1080p recording is also onboard, with a dedicated movie recording button. That 14x optical zoom is also available when recording video too.
Available in red, black and silver fro 23 August, it’s attractively priced too at just £199. This could prove a big winner for Nikon.
