asus-vivo.pngBeing big fans of ASUS’s Transformer range, were happy to post news on a new range of Windows 8 devices from the company that share the Transformer range’s design ethos. The Vivo Tab and Vivo Tab RT are two pre-IFA show headliners from ASUS.

Looking firstly at the the Vivo Tab, you’re looking at a 0.33-inch thick device, a measurement that doesn’t include an attachable, full-size, USB port sporting, battery-packing keyboard dock. Running at a resolution of 1366×768, the 11.6-inch IPS display touchscreen tablet runs the full-fat version of Windows 8 thanks to its Intel Atom CPU. 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, NFC capabilities and 8MP and 2MP rear and front cameras round off its impressive spec sheet. Wacom digitizer input is also supported.

The Vivo Tab RT, as its name suggests, runs Windows RT rather than full-blown Windows 8, and uses a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor. Slightly smaller than the Vivo Tab at 10.1 inches but still coming complete with a keyboard dock, it has a slightly higher pixel density thanks to the same 1366×768 resolution squeezing its way onto a smaller screen. 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and NFC tech make up the rest of the tablet’s feature list.

Pricing and availability has yet to be revealed, but as ever we’ll keep you posted.
