First revealed back at CES in January, the cameras offer DSLR-style looks and plenty of functionality, without the added expense or hassle of interchangeable lenses.

Both using a Fujinon 24x optical zoom lense, with 24mm wide angle function, the Fujinon optics use Dual Image Stabilisation to help keep subjects sharp, making the cameras handy for nervous newcomers.fujifilm-finepix-s4200-sl240-out-now-5.jpgCapturing 14MP shots, the cameras also boast a 3-inch LCD preview screen and 720p recording abilities.

The main difference between the two is their power sources: the premium SL240 has a rechargeable lithium battery (good for 300 shots per charge), while the S4200 runs off AA batteries.

Definitely a pair to consider if you’ve been eyeing up Nikon’s recent offerings.
