No, before you ask, it’s not the shape-shifting liquid-metal robot with blades for arms and legs that could out-sprint Usain Bolt. It’s actually a new range of HDTV models, designed as second-room sets.

Offering full HD 1080p resolutions, the T-1000 range comes in 22 and 24-inch sizes, with a 720p model going up to 26-inches.

The T-1000 sets also offer USB recording and Time Shift functionality, letting you pause and playback live TV shows.

All have both an integrated DVD player and Freeview pre-installed, as well as being VESA mount compliant.

Richard Popple, National Sales Manager for Haier UK, said: “Families looking for a second or third TV set for their homes should be looking for picture quality, affordability and style. The T1000 not only meets these criteria, it goes further with innovative features like Haier’s Time Shift Technology and Mega Contrast.”

The range is available now.
