blur-app-top.jpgFans of reformed Britpoppers Blur are in for a treat today, with the band’s label EMI releasing a thoughtful app about the band today on iPhone and iPad.

The Blur App pulls together a timeline history of the band, featuring plenty of exclusive content like all-new interviews, unreleased demos, remixes and live performances too.

The app has a full discography (even including rare Japanese-only promo singles), and those who already have Blur’s track’s bought through iTunes can play them directly through the new app. Everyone else gets a preview of the songs and options to buy them.

Photo galleries sit nicely alongside a gigography, which uses data from Setlist.fm to list each track played at every gig too, which is a great nostalgia trip for misty-eyed Parklife lovers.

Users will also be able to push their favourite parts of the app to Twitter and Facebook, with a leaderboard showing what’s the most popular parts of the app.

You can grab the app for free by clicking here.
