yamaha-ryas-101-soundbar.jpgWe’ve seen dinky soundbars before here at Tech Digest, but few as slim as Yamaha’s new YAS-101.

Thin and light enough to be wall mounted, the YAS-101 still boasts a 60-watt subwoofer, with Air Surround Xtreme technology that offers 7.1 channels of surround sound, while it also supporting Dolby Digital and DTS.

A UniVolume feature can normalise sound levels outputted from the soundbar if you so desire too, which could be handy if you can’t resist watching the latest explosive blockbuster in the dead of night. The neighbours will be pleased.

It’s also claimed that the soundbar can be set-up and ready to use in a matter of seconds, but anyone who has ever wrestled with polystyrene tech packaging will surely beg to differ.

Available in black £229.95, there’s also a premium silver version for £259.95.
