Lamborghini's TL700 £1,800 Android Phone is sick, in the classic, dictionary-defined, non-street sense…

lamborghini-android.jpgUgh! When will these “high end” companies ever learn! Simply whacking your brand name onto the side of some gold plated crap and then charging top dollar for it really isn’t good enough, even for a coke-addled, jumped-up, self-aggrandizing zillionaire.

But, totally predictably, that’s what Lamborghini have done with their new branded Android phone. An ugly gold wedge, it looks like a prop from the cartoon series M.A.S.K, which may have been cool if you transported yourself back to the late 1980s and reverted back in both mind and body to that of a 4 year old boy at the same time.

Worst of all though, is the spec sheet. The Lamborghini TL700 offers a 3.7″ display running at 800×480 resolution, powered by the ageing Android 2.3 OS with a 5-Megapixel camera on the rear. That’s all fine for a mid-range handset, but considering this will set you back £1,800, it borders on Lamborghini having palpable contempt for the person buying it. Which, considering the coke-addled, jumped-up, self-aggrandizing audience this is aimed at, probably gives a note of justice to it all.

Best of all, Lamborghini are planning a tablet too. We can’t wait.

  • I get interested to the design that it looks like a lamborghini. Speaking to the features, It does not give me enough satisfaction when I use that kind of phone. It has some lacking features than the other mobile phone has. I am interested to the phones that is suitable in my business.

  • I can’t believe they’ve not even put ICS on it, let alone an above-average resolution for so much money. This is the same specs as a £250 HTC Desire S.
