Vimeo have updated their video hosting service today, making it easier than ever to add top-notch soundtracks to your uploaded clips.
Following on from their Vimeo Music Store update, the company have now added an Enhancer function that lets users add any of 50,000 music tracks from the Vimeo Music Store to their clips from within the browser, without any need for offline editing and re-uploading.
As part of the new feature, Vimeo have also joined forces with SmartSound, whose technology intelligently matches your clip to a track of appropriate length and mood.
"The right soundtrack can make the difference between a good video and a great one. By integrating SmartSound's unique offering of customizable music, Vimeo users can now make the soundtrack to their videos as unique and personal as the video itself," says Dae Mellencamp, the lady in charge of Vimeo.
The SmartSound feature is available right now from the Vimeo Music Store. It's priced at $1.99 a track for a personal use license and $19.99 per track if you're looking to use it commercially.
