iPhone-4s-thumb-3.JPGIf you’re suited, booted and ready to work, a new report says that you’re far more likely to be using an iOS device from Apple than an Android one.

The report by Good Technology found that during the first quarter of this year in the enterprise sector, almost 80% of device activations were of Apple products, with the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 leading the charge. With Windows Phone devices and RIM’s BlackBerry devices absent from the report, the last 20% was left for Android activations.

Of all the activations of mobile devices, smartphones dominate with 75% of activations. however, growth in both business and consumer activations is quickly rising, and likely to grow exponentially over the coming year.

Looks like the calculator apps on all those devices are getting a fair bit of use too; 36% of all activations in Q1 of 2012 were credited to workers in financial services.

Though absent from the report, and coming off the back of one of their worst years in memory, we’d still expect RIM’s handsets to be major players in the enterprise market.
