This Ultrabook wannabe totally rips off the MacBook Air, is actually a humble netbook

netbook-navigator.jpgWell you cant blame them for trying; today, if you’re not a) an Apple MacBook Air or b) an Ultrabook, you might as well squeeze back into the mobile computing hole you crawled out of. Despite appearances, the Netbook Navigator NAV13X Windows 7 Ultrabook is actually neither.

Being so close to Apple’s superslim laptop design as to certainly be attracting the attentions of their lawyers, the PC can’t really claim Ultrabook status either as it’s not sanctioned by Intel, and is a little under-powered.

That’s not to say it’s that bad a machine, by netbook standards. With a 13.3 inch screen running at 1366×768 resolution, the Netbook Navigator also features a 1.86GHz dual-core Atom CPU with 2GB of RAM and a 32GB SSD, with build to-order options offering larger memory and storage.

It’s a handsome design with an attractive price tag too; $600 with the Windows 7 OS, $500 without.
