Sculpteo 3D printing lets you silver-plate your creations

3D printing specialists Sculpteo are adding a new feature to their service today in the shape of silver plating. Not only can you use their software to bring your 3D creations to life, but you can also up their value by covering any jewelry or charms with a bit of bling.

Using an electrolyse process, Scuplteo coat your items with silver 925°/.. before being polished up to a nice shiny luster. So long as your creations have a wall thickness of at least 2mm and the item has no holes smaller than 3mm in diameter, anything can be given a silver-style makeover.

Pricing is dependent on the object's size, but Sculpteo list the following pricing examples :
In 5 cm / 1.97 in : €60.00 - In 10 cm / 3.94 in : €330.00 - In 15 cm / 5.91 in : €1,070.00.
