star wars the old republic.jpgA long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, we started getting our hopes up that EA/Bioware’s forthcoming Star Wars MMORPG, The Old Republic, would make it onto our PCs before 2011 drew to a close.

Looks like EA and Bioware took Yoda’s “Do or do not, there is no try” motto to heart, as they’ve managed to finally nail down a 2011 release date for the hugely anticipated game. PC gamers will be able explore George Lucas’s sci-fi universe from December 20th in America, and from December 22nd in Europe.

With the launch date also comes UK subscription pricing details too. Players can pay a flat subscription of £8.99 each month to access the game, or subsidised at £25.17 for a three-month bundle and £46.14 for six months.

Looks as though the Force will be with many folks over Christmas then this year, what with the recent Star Wars Blu-ray launch high on many lists to Santa too.

  • I swear to you that Star wars should have died along time ago, who keeps playing these games?

  • Remember that these sports superstars would be nothing without the fans. They badly need your support in surviving the season and what better way to show your support than by wearing their billy williams jersey? If you are on the lookout for a jersey, you can visit the different jersey store.
