HTC-Runnymede.jpgAfter the IFA reveal of the Samsung Galaxy Note, it seems the only way is up for Android smartphone screensizes. Whilst not quite as big at 4.7 inches, the HTC Runnymeade is still a bit of a heffalump when it comes to smartphone displays, and we’ve now got a first press-shot look at the device courtesy of PocketNow.

Running the Gingerbread build of Google’s mobile OS, the Runnymeade offers a single core 1.5GHz processor and 768MB of RAM under an all-white chassis.

That massive screen is of the WVGA resolution stable, with the recent partnership with Beats Audio making the phone quite the mobile media powerhouse. Likewise, a “class leading” camera is also set for inclusion.

Two models will be available, with the 16GB offering expected to retail at £530 and £560 for the 32GB version, both unlocked.

A September 20th HTC event is scheduled, where we expect to hear more on the handset, alongside news on the Bliss and Vigor HTC handsets too.
