We’ve become so used to waiting for the BlackBerry Playbook that grabbing it an extra day before it hits the shops hardly seems a big deal, but either way Carphone Warehouse are offering the RIM tablet a day earlier than expected for those eager to check out the iPad rival.

Select stores up and down the country have gotten hold of stock early, amounting to a short 24 hour period of exclusivity for the shop.

Head down to the Carphone Warehouse stores in Selfridges on Oxford Street, Westfield, Manchester Trafford, Bluewater and Bristol Cribbs on June 15th and you can become one of the first in the country to own the RIM device. The official launch date elsewhere is June 16th.

In terms of pricing, the 16GB model will set you back £399, the 32GB model £479 and the 64GB version will cost £559.
