Samsung’s 8.9 inch Honeycomb reboot of the Galaxy Tab has been caught on camera by the folks over at NewGadgets.de.

Running quickly through some of the new device’s Honeycomb features, we’re showed a device weighing just 470 grams that is marginally thinner than the svelte iPad 2.

With a 1GHz dual core processor and 1280×800 WXGA display, the new slate also features a 3 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front facing one for video calls and vanity shots. 1080p video playback is catered for, with 720p video capture available. 16, 32 and 64 GB models will be available for purchase.

No release date or pricing given by Samsung yet, but the June release of its 10.1 inch sibling should give a slight indication as to when we can expect to see this one on the shelves.
