psn-thumb.jpgThe hacking attack on Sony’s PlayStation Network is fast approaching a month’s worth of difficulties for the gaming giant.

But according to Sony’s Nick Caplin, Head of Communications, there’s still a fair bit of work to be done.

“I know you all want to know exactly when the services will be restored. At this time, I can’t give you an exact date, as it will likely be at least a few more days. We’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work through this process,” he said over on the SCEE blog.

What with users being unable to play online for some weeks now and their credit card details having been compromised, trust levels for the PlayStation brand are at an all time low. Having said that, at least Sony appear to be taking their time for the sake of being thorough; there’s no point getting the network up and running just for another attack to fell it soon afterwards.
