Acer are to re-launch their rather nifty Liquidmini smartphone range with an extra splash of colour to match the dawn of the summer season.

Cherry, lagoon, pearl and steel are the colours which Acer believe will “evoke summer, vacation and the longing for relax [sic] and have fun with friends.” These new shades are in addition to the jet silver, royal blue, piano black, lime green and light pink hues already available, making for a veritable smartphone rainbow.

But what of the handset itself?

Packing in Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the handset is fully DLNA compatible, meaning you’ll be able to stream all your networked media to-and-from the handset, ready to be viewed on the Liquidmini’s 3.2 inch HVGA screen. Acer re-skin Android with the Acer 4.2 UI, while the SocialJogger 2.0 app comes pre-installed, pushing Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Plurk into a single feed. A 5 MP camera also sits on the rear for snapping summery sights.

The handset in all its many colours, is available now.
