Swiss media company, Ringier, is to launch a global application for web tablets called The Collection. A monthly 'appazine', it is available simultaneously in several languages including English, German and Chinese.

In each issue, The Collection looks at all relevant angles of one topic comprising text, video, photography, audio, panoramic photography and 3D animation.  The topics are of global relevance, are timely, and updated on a regular basis.

Based on a completely new 'Made in Switzerland Content Management System', the technology will allow for a very dynamic and intuitive navigation within the application. The experience promises to surprise at every swipe, tap or rub of the tablet screen.

The Collection’s inaugural issue deals with Prince William — The British Monarchy’s Great Hope. From the app you can learn from the British streets whether Charles or William should become the next king of England; and why there is an ongoing debate about Crown vs. Republic.

Using interactive features, readers can offer wedding wishes to the newlyweds and learn about the life of a royal photographer.

The Collection iPad app costs $4.99. For more information go here: http://itunes.apple.com/uk/app/the-collection/id427145593?mt=8#
