Another day, another trickle of iPhone 5 rumours, this time delivered by the folks over at Reuters. Speaking to insiders “familiar with the matter”, their three anonymous sources are claiming that production of the iPhone 5 will begin in July, with shipping starting in September.

In terms of design, the sources claim that very little change will be made to that of the existing iPhone 4, but expect to see a more durable metal panel replace the glass one currently found on the smartphone’s rear.

Elsewhere, a significant leap in CPU power is expected, with the iPhone 5 harnessing the power of the A5 dual-core chip found most recently in the iPad 2.
