Kicking things off with the trend-setter, let us first take a look at Apple's iPad. Featuring a 9.7 inch IPS capacitive-mutitouch display, ten hour battery life and running off the zippy 1GHz Apple A4 chip, it's already sold shed-loads. Available in Wi-
Fancy nabbing yourself a cheap as chips iPad? Well today may well be your lucky day. In what is obivously an attempt to get rid of surplus stock ahead of th eiPad 2 launch, T-Mobile are teaming up with Groupon to offer the first 1,000 members of the group buying session who commit to the deal an original iPad for just £49.

The deal runs for the entirity of the day, but is strictly limited to the 1,000 units T-Mobile have allocated for the offer. No more, and no less either. Either all 1,000 are sold or nobody gets one.

According to T-Mobile, “Customers will be emailed a web sales number, which they will then need to call and quote the Groupon voucher code. The order will then be processed by T-Mobile and the iPad dispatched to the customer.”

There is a catch however; the deal also includes a £27 a month data contract on a 24 month deal. It drops to £25 if you’re an exisiting customer, but that’s still a fair bit of moolah for on a long old contract for what is now essentially last-gen kit.

Still, if you need to get that magical tablet in your life, this is probably the cheapest you’re going to find it for a long, long time.

Hurry on over to www.groupon.co.uk for more details.

  • Its not that great a deal if you factor in all costs involved.
THREE are offering the ipad for twice the price but a lot cheaper per month than T-Mobile. It works out over the 2 years to be about £40 or more cheaper!
