With Apple’s annual hardware cycle now almost a year round since the launch of the mega-impressive iPad, the rumour mill is churning whispers into a fine dust over when we’re likely to see a refresh of the Cupertino tablet range.
Japanese Mac blog Macotakara are now claiming that the team over at One Infinite Loop are waiting for Chinese New Year to end before announcing the new iPad 2 slate, which would mean anytime after February 17th. The intention would then be to see the tablet in stores by the end of March.
Macotakara are coy about where they’ve sourced this juicy snippet of info, and while the dates certainly add up, this one has to be filed under the “runmours” category until proven otherwise. The dates do add up reasonably well though, so don’t be surprised if Macotakara have hit the nail on the head here.
