HP have revealed the latest handset in the Pre line. The HP Pre 3 extends the size of the original Palm Pre, and shortens the name by ropping the Palm prefix altogether.

It features a 3.6 inch WVGA capactive touchscreen, weighing in at 156 grams and 16mm in thickness. As with the Pre, the screen slides up to reveal a full QWERTY. The processor running the smartphone is looking very impressive; a Qualcomm MSM8255 CPU, clocked at a speedy 1.4GHz.

Two cameras, front and rear (5MP on the back), with auto focus and an LED flash, with clever noise-reduction features for video calling.

A-GPS, 512MB RAM, Wi-Fi, and mobile hotspot capability round out the list of features in the webOS phone, that will be available in 8 and 16GB sizes. The phone will also sync with the newly revealed HP TouchPad.

Expect a summer launch for the HP Pre 3.
