Could this finally be it for MySpace? It seems like we have all been watching the long drawn out death of the once popular social network for years now. Even MySpace celeb Tila Tequila has admitted to forgetting her password.

Yesterday Mike Jones, MySpace chief executive, told staff in a meeting that News Corp was exploring new strategic options for MySpace. A spokeswoman for the company in an interview with Bloomberg also stated that: “News Corp is assessing a number of possibilities including a sale, a merger and a spinout. The process has just started.”

After announcing that they will be cutting 47% of its staff early this week it certainly seems as though News Corp is ready to call it quits. The question is though, who in their right mind is going to buy MySpace??

  • I believe this aspect is growing everywhere as business owners learn what it is. For example, Phoenix is much more sophisticated in this regards than here in Tucson. I average small business owner is still way behind in their understanding such incidents.
