Casio’s CES press conference kicked off with the announcement of a new imaging network called Imaging Square, which they believe will revolutionise online photo storage portals by turning a user’s photo’s into true “artwork”.

Not mere filters, the Imaging Square network uses HDR-Art Craft within the Virtual Painter software to tweak snaps into oil paintings and pop art. It’s not much, but it’s more options than the likes of PhotoBucket or even Facebook’s photo storage systems offer, and negates the need for Photoshop or similar editing software.

The HDR-Art Craft tech will also feature in Casio’s latest range of camera’s, including the intriguing Tryx which we reported on earlier.

Imgaing Square will launch in February.
