everything-everything-thumb.JPGUK indie band Everything Everything are tonight to become the world’s first band to stream an entire concert to an iPad.

The Manchester band are playing a sold-out show at London’s Union Chapel, but iOS using fans who couldn’t nab a ticket will be able to watch the show on thier iPhones and iPads through a free app called ‘Man Alive – Everything Everything: Live at Union Chapel’.

Everything Everything singer Jonathan Higgs spoke of the idea behind tonight’s broadcast: “We wanted to try something unique. The concert sold out and we wanted to do something special for fans who couldn’t get tickets. We couldn’t hijack a TV channel but now we can play live to people on the bus, or wherever they want to hear it.”

Pick the app up by clicking here,or alternatively stream it on your PC at Livemusic.tid.es. An edit of the show will be available to download tomorrow.
