Toshiba Folio 100 tablet on its last legs already??

It’s been barely ten days since Toshiba launched their Folio 100 tablet in the UK, but already the new slate device’s vital signs are beginning to flatline.

Launched on November 4th in PC World stores up and down the land, reports are flooding in that many disgruntled customers are already sending their slabs back. A series of bugs and oversights, including a broken app store, poor screen viewing angle and a lack of pinch-to-zoom in the browser, are among the main complaints.

It’s now looking as though PC World stores are preparing to pull the tablet from thier shelves. The tablet’s advertised in-store price is currently set at £999.99 as oppossed to its RRP of £350. The inflated price is usually used as a pre-sale placemarker to remind staff not to sell products not yet available to the public. In this case, it looks as though PC World are with-holding the tablet before removing it entirely from their shelves.

Too bad for Toshiba, but our hands-on testing at this years IFA conference did leave a lot to be desired. Check it out in the video above.
